Karen, also known as capitolaquilter on blogger and flickr very kindly honored us with a Liebster Blog award! Karen is part of the South Bay Area Modern Quilt Guild with us, and she makes such amazing quilts every month! I always look forward to her part of the Sew & Tell. 🙂
Here’s the scoop:
“The origins of the Liebster Blog Award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it means favourite or dearest to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers.”
Here’s the rules:
1. Thank my Liebster Blog Award presenters.
2. Link back to my presenters’ blogs.
3. Copy & paste the blog award on my blog.
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to five blogs with 200 or fewer followers that I feel deserve to be noticed and post links to their blogs on my blog.
5. Let the recipients know they have been given the Liebster Blog Award by posting a comment on their blog.
I had a lot of trouble narrowing it down to just 5 blogs! Also, it’s not always totally clear how many followers a blog has (I went by the google reader rss stats + blogger.com stats if they were hosted there) so hopefully no rule breaking happened here.
Without further ado, may I present these wonderful blogs!
Julia @ Alchemy Tea: Julia does a bit of everything, and her quilts are always unique and funky, in a great way! Her modern interpretations on traditional themes are very inspiring.
Wandering Minstrel @ A Wandering Minstrel I: While she may be busy during the school year and post less frequently, I love when she does! Beautiful quilts and quilted projects to enjoy.
Anna @ Six White Horses: I found her blog through her paper-pieced star pattern which I really loved! Lots of great modern quilting eye candy to be found here, along with well-written tutorials and patterns.
Amy @ The Next Day is Someday: I found her blog through a flickr favorite of a very cute mug rug involving a quilted maze and an embroidered heart in the center. Reading her blog I found out she lived near me and was going to be selling it at a craft fair in my town. I snatched it up and have been enjoying her blog ever since.
Jerimi @ Sunflower Musings née Three Cat Limit: A great mix of gorgeous quilting and cat-related posts. I’ve been following this blog for two years, ever since I won a hand-made cat toy (which I still have!) from the Sew, Mama, Sew giveaway.
I hope you enjoy these blogs as much as I do! Please go take a look and leave a comment while you’re there.
