Usually whenever I get a little quiet it’s because I’m working on just one project, and I don’t feel like posting “yep, still workin’ on it!”
So yep, still workin’ on the jumbo star quilt! The quilt top is almost completed, and then I need to figure out a back and basting and quilting and binding. NO PROBLEM, right?
I made a small miscalculation on the size of the pattern pieces, and they’re a bit larger than the original design. Which means this is a jumbo-er star. I’m kinda debating whether to put a smaller border on it or just go for the slightly bigger size. I haven’t measured it yet, but our back fence is 6 feet tall, and the top drags on the ground (the bottom isn’t stumpy, it just hit the ground.)
I need to figure it out soon since it needs to get done by the 30th, and June’s going fast!
Finishing this was my June goal for the Lovely Year of Finishes, so I’m linking up there, and WIP Wednesday. Hopefully next week I’ll have some serious progress to show!
