It’s been a busy month, but a lot is getting done around here. 🙂 Quilt wise, I just finished up my second month with the NuBees group, and I tried designing my own block this time. I was really inspired by Violet Craft’s Madrona Road quilt she showed at Quilt Market, and I made up a block based on the design. I’m working on a tutorial for it, and hope to have it posted later this week. In the meantime, here are the 5 variations on the theme.
I’ve also started making progress on my granny block for the Not Your Granny’s Bee. I was assigned purple and blue.
In quilt news, I have the materials for the back of my HST quilt, and I’m 2/3 done cutting out pieces for my “dissertation quilt”. I’m hoping to make more progress on those this week as well.
On the programming front, I’ve started incorporating feedback we’ve received on the palette builder tool. Thank you everyone for taking the time to test it out and give us such great insight! We’re working on making it even better and then we’ll release it to a wider group of people.
We’re also working on the next tool, matching the palettes to the fabrics. There is still a lot of UI work to be done, but I’m including a screenshot of an early working model. I’m pretty excited about this one, and I think it will be super useful when it’s done.
Phew! Like I said, there’s a lot going on, and I can’t wait to share more of it as we can!
I’m linking this up to Freshly Pieced’s WIP Wednesday. Be sure to check out some other great projects people are working on!
