The big news for this week is that my machine was broken and then it was fixed! Oh yay. Man, being without a machine was just mind-numbing. Do not like. On the other hand, it seems to have drop-kicked me out of my funk. Lots getting done now!
Charity Quilts – This was the biggie! Our guild was aiming to make 31 quilts in 31 days. We just had our monthly meeting and we surpassed our goal with 36 quilts! Amazing!! I finished two quilts and love how they came out.
F+F Blocks – May’s blocks were the same as April’s blocks. So I did them all last month. However, when I was trimming up to send the May blocks, I found one was 1/8″ too short all around. So I made another one. It’s also 1/8″ too short. *grump* But this month’s caretaker said to just send them along. I think I might need to look at my 1/4″ foot as I think it might be not actually 1/4″.
Block for Boston – The Boston Modern Quilt Guild put out a call for blocks for quilts that will be made for those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. The colors are blue, yellow, grey and white. I put together a broken herringbone block in those colors to send along.
Sew Sew Modern 2 Swap – Need to get cracking on this one! Will be my focus for the week.
Low Volume Log Cabin – I need to find out where I put my partial log cabins that I made during sew day, and fill them out.
April & Kerry’s Quilt – Fabric is cut, but now it’s time to make blocks. I need to figure out what’s going on with my 1/4″ foot before doing something so precise, though.
NuBees Quilt – Need to make the back of this quilt too.
Bento Box – Need to find where I put the pieces for this quilt…
Hand-stitched Quilt – Now that my wrists are better, this is going into my “things to do while watching TV” pile.
Granny Squares – Not feeling inspired by this at the moment.
Linking up to Lee @ Freshly Pieced and her WIP Wednesday link party!
